During the founding meeting of the human RNome project, we realized that the stability of modified nucleosides used for quantification is unknown (see meeting report here). Therefore, Kira, Hagen and Yuyang systematically assessed the stability of over 40 modified nucleosides in water at various storage temperatures. Max joined in and established q-NMR for validation of purity, Sofia tested stability in DMSO and Leona helped aquire HRMS of instability products. Great work and important guideline for the community. Published in NAR.
